A New Baby
The church offers two different ways of celebrating this happy occasion.
Baptism is the traditional celebration. This means that at least one of the parents wishes to make a promise that they wish their child to be brought up as part of the Christian church family.
There is now the option of a service of Thanksgiving and Blessing. There are no promises required of anyone in this ceremony - it's simply a way of giving thanks to God for this new life.
Baptism can happen at any stage in life: it's not just for babies.
