St Mary's is host to many visitors each year - visitors who come to the church for many reasons.  A dedicated team of around 80 guardians ensures that those who visit over Easter weekend or between May and September receive a warm welcome.  Some of our guardians come from churches in Haddington and the surrounding towns and villages while others have no church connection at all.  They work two and a half hour shifts in teams of two, one to welcome and one in the shop. 

New recruits are always welcome.  You do not need to know a lot of history about the church - rather we prefer people who are warm, welcoming and can respond to people as individuals.  To offer your services as a guardian please contact either Stewart Macrae or Wendy Lund.
